Yet another city of mine wich was created in my mind and contains several real existing buildings. For exemple the curch with the dome. This is one of my largest works made with ink. Here, you can see about one third of the real drawing

My god, that is so detailed! very impressed, it must have taken ages.
VERY IMPRESSIVE. Gr8 detail
No, four weeks. I usually draw very fast
hm i wanna ask
what if u made a small mistake? u rub it out?
This drawing was made with ink, I usually draw some construction lines first. When drawing in ink I can't afford to make mistakes otherwise the result would be less satisfying for me.
When using a pencil I often use an eraser.
for a moment I was looking for waldo. Time you've invested is worthy of praise and respect. Style and composition fantastically bland yet overwelming. Ink on paper looks nice, but I wonder... are you progressing or being consistant at this point?
I work with ink and pencil altough I feel both mediums don't add something extra to the drawing. The only thing with pencil is that I tend to work on a very small scale.
For some time, I'm not that interested in drawing cities anymore. Nowdays, I prefer to paint. After Metropolis I haven't started on a new project. Seven months constantly working is simply to long. I always want to do better than before. I do not feel I'm progressing anymore. I've probably reached the summit.
"I've probably reached the summit."

I'm calling Bullshit on that. I think anyone else would as well. challenge yourself if you think you've mastered what you are currently doing.
hey four weeks is a long time, especally when you draw fast!
have you ever thought about putting any tonal information in these pictures? take it away from a line drawing?
i do like your watercolour of paris. you have great control of tone in that, can you put it onto a more detailed picture like these cities?
Thanks for your comment!
For an awnser to your first question, please have a look at my scrap section where you'll find a drawing on wich I added shadows, could be a first step to take it away from a line only drawing.
I've actually never experimented to draw without lines. Even the watercolour of Paris started with a line drawing. Mixing a city and a watercolour could be great idea, creating a balance in both line and tone!
