Artist's Comments

Imaginary city in Mexico strongly inspired by Mexico city.
Some buildings, like the Cathedral and the national palace bear a resemblance to the originals but the rest comes from my own imagination. I've been working on this drawing since December 2007. Pen and ink on paper, 80x100 cm,
33"x40"

From mid december until yesterday, three months, one to five hours a day.
how do you normally start out when you draw cities like this?

Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.
